Clausen played college football at the University of Tennessee and professionally in NFL Europe (NFLE).
[1] Clausen attended and played college football at the University of Tennessee under head coach Phillip Fulmer from 2000 to 2003 [2] with the nickname "Iceman.
[6] Clausen went undrafted in the 2004 NFL draft[9] and was briefly signed by the Kansas City Chiefs as a free agent.
[10] Clausen was hired as the Calabasas High School's head football coach on December 12, 2013.
[11] On December 16, 2017, Clausen was hired as head football coach at his alma mater, Bishop Alemany High School.
