The local chain was founded by Armenian American co-founders Kasper Koojoolian, Paul Agajan and Stephen Beklian who moved to California from Chicago before operating a small grocery store on the streets of Chicago.

Casper's currently operates 5 locations including Dublin, Hayward, Oakland, Pleasant Hill, and Richmond.

The similarly named "Original" Kasper's Hot Dogs chain is related to Casper's.

Kasper’s began in 1930, but due to a family rift, the Casper’s chain was founded.

Casper’s has restaurants in Hayward, Fremont and other locations in Alameda and Contra Costa counties.
