Catie Lazarus

Catherine Simone Avnet Lazarus (April 26, 1976 – December 13, 2020) was an American writer, comedian, and talk show host.

[11] She performed storytelling at The Moth, The Rejection Show at The Bell House, on Risk!, at Story Collider, and the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater's Asscat.

Lazarus interviewed numerous comedians, musicians, journalists, filmmakers, entrepreneurs, and social activists, including Gloria Steinem, Rosie Perez, Wallace Shawn, Martha Plimpton, Dick Cavett and Lewis Black.

[27] She was a descendant of the Lazarus family, who built the first major department store chain and persuaded President Franklin D. Roosevelt to change the date of Thanksgiving.
