Cecilia Elspeth Giles CBE (18 September 1922 – 19 April 2020) was a Scottish university administrator and a Bletchley Park veteran.

[1] Ailsa Maxwell, a fellow student at the University of Edinburgh, accepted a similar offer.

[3] Giles was enrolled in a unit of the Auxiliary Territorial Service attached to the Intelligence Corps.

[1] She worked in the ATS Military Section SIXTA analysing messages that cryptographers had cracked.

She visited her brother in Africa and was then based at Khartoum University for an academic year helping with administration.
