At the 2017 Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games held in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, Chang competed in the 75 kg event without winning a medal.
In 2019, Chang won the gold medal in the 76 kg event at the Asian U23 Wrestling Championship held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
