Chaplin is a town in Windham County, Connecticut, United States.
The town is part of the Northeastern Connecticut Planning Region.
The town was named for Deacon Benjamin Chaplin, an early settler.
At the 2000 census there were 2,250 people, 858 households, and 614 families living in the town.
There were 897 housing units at an average density of 46.2 per square mile (17.8/km2).
