10 species (see text) Charadrahyla is a genus of frogs in the family Hylidae.
[2] The generic name was derived from Greek charadra ("ravine") and Hyla, in reference to the habits of these frogs.
[1] It corresponds to the former Hyla taeniopus group as defined by William E. Duellman [fr] in 1970.
[1] Two species were later described as new in this genus,[2] and another two were transferred from Exerodonta in 2018 based on molecular data.
[4] Most species have a brownish dorsum with large blotches (exception is Charadrahyla altipotens).
