He was admitted to the bar in 1936, and practiced in Syracuse as a partner in Bond, Schoeneck & King.
In November 1960, he ran for re-election, but was defeated by Democrat George P. Savage.
He was Chairman of the New York State Republican Committee from May 1967[3] to April 1969.
[4] He was a presidential elector in 1972, voting for Richard Nixon and Spiro Agnew.
He died on August 19, 1989, in Crouse Irving Memorial Hospital in Syracuse, New York;[5] and was buried at the Oakwood Cemetery there.
