Charles Clemens Lovell[1] (September 10, 1929 – June 14, 2023) was a United States district judge of the United States District Court for the District of Montana.
Born in Anaconda, Montana, Lovell received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Montana in 1952 and was in the United States Air Force from 1952 to 1954, thereafter receiving a Juris Doctor from the University of Montana School of Law in 1959.
He was chief counsel to the Office of Montana State Attorney General, Appellate Division from 1969 to 1972.
[2] On March 27, 1985, Lovell was nominated by President Ronald Reagan to a new seat on the United States District Court for the District of Montana created by 98 Stat.
