Charles Harrison (RAF officer)

Lieutenant Charles Philip Harrison MC (born 27 July 1888) was a British World War I flying ace credited with five aerial victories.

[1] Harrison was commissioned as second lieutenant in the Corps of Royal Engineers on 19 November 1915.

[2] He served in France and German West Africa,[1] and was promoted to lieutenant on 4 October 1916.

Harrison gained his first victory on 21 April 1918 with Lieutenant A. M. Phillips as pilot, by driving down 'out of control' a Fokker Dr.I over Bailleul.

His citation read: In late November 1918 he was awarded the Croix de Chevalier of the Legion d'honneur by the French government.
