Charles Secrett is an environmental activist and was head of Friends of the Earth England, Wales and Northern Ireland in 1993–2003.
Secrett was a member of the Labour Government's Commission for Sustainable Development, and sits on the Advisory Boards for The Ecologist magazine, the Environmental Law Foundation in Britain and the Environment Programme of the University of North Carolina in the United States.
Secrett has also campaigned against nuclear power[1] and prior to the 2015 general election, he was one of several celebrities who endorsed the parliamentary candidacy of the Green Party's Caroline Lucas.
