The racial makeup of the township was 97.93% White, 0.19% African American, 0.15% Native American, 0.65% Asian, 0.06% Pacific Islander, 0.09% from other races, and 0.93% from two or more races.

There were 1,203 households, out of which 31.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 62.1% were married couples living together, 7.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 26.8% were non-families.

22.6% of all households were made up of individuals, and 9.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
