Chertkovsky District (Russian: Чертко́вский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[4] district (raion), one of the forty-three in Rostov Oblast, Russia.
It is located in the northwest of the oblast.
The area of the district is 2,766 square kilometers (1,068 sq mi).
[2] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a settlement) of Chertkovo.
[7] The population of Chertkovo accounts for 29.5% of the district's total population.
