Choctaw Lake is a census-designated place (CDP) in Madison County, Ohio, United States.

As of the census[3] of 2000, there were 1,562 people, 581 households, and 493 families residing in the CDP.

There were 623 housing units at an average density of 776.2 per square mile (299.7/km2).

There were 581 households, out of which 36.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 78.8% were married couples living together, 3.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 15.0% were non-families.

11.2% of all households were made up of individuals, and 3.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
