Choerophryne allisoni

[2][3] It is endemic to Papua New Guinea and only known from its type locality, Mount Sisa in the Southern Highlands Province.

[4] The type series consists of two adult males that measure 11.5–11.6 mm (0.5–0.5 in) in snout–vent length.

The dorsum is dark brown with various darker or paler patterns; a pale mid-vertebral stripe is present.

[2] The male advertisement call is a single, short "bleat" consisting of 5–6 notes.

[2] The type series was collected from the transition zone between Nothofagus-dominated vegetation with a rather open understorey and a denser, higher-altitude moss forest at 2,000 m (6,600 ft) above sea level.
