Christel Schaldemose (born 4 August 1967) is a Danish politician who has been serving as a Member of the European Parliament since 2006.
In parliament, Schaldemose is a member of the Committee on Internal Market and Consumer Protection (IMCO).
She has worked professionally with adult education and popular enlightenment on national and regional level.
From 2016 until 2017, she was also part of the Committee of Inquiry into Emission Measurements in the Automotive Sector.In 2021, she was appointed as the parliament's rapporteur on the Digital Services Act (DSA).
