[1] Sturmark enrolled on a master's degree in computer science at Uppsala University with the aim of starting research in artificial intelligence.
In 1996, together with Jan Carlzon, he started the company Cell Network, offering consulting solutions for new e-commerce businesses.
Cell Network expanded and was sold after a couple of years to English New Media Spark and was then listed on the stock exchange.
[3] In parallel with his entrepreneurial ventures, he wrote articles in Dagens Nyheter, one of Sweden’s biggest daily newspapers, about the emerging information society.
In 2007, Sturmark started the publishing house Fri Tanke together with ABBA member Björn Ulvaeus.
