Sottile's work focuses on civic design and master planning, urban analysis, and community-wide engagement with an emphasis on historic research.
He trained under the guidance of renowned master architect John C. LeBey, FAIA.
In 2011, he was named the dean of the School of Building Arts at the SCAD and served in that role until 2017.
In addition, USA Today named him one of the top 100 academics in the nation.
He is a member of the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB).
