Christie D. Rowe

[1][2] Rowe eventually studied geology at Smith College, where she worked on metamorphic rocks including blueschists and eclogites.

[5] Rowe's doctoral work with J. Casey Moore attempted to reconstruct the earthquake cycles in Kodiak Island.

[6] Rowe moved to South Africa in 2007 where she taught structural geology and plate tectonics at the University of Cape Town.

[7] In 2009 Rowe was appointed an National Science Foundation-MARGINS postdoctoral scholar at the University of California, Santa Cruz, where she worked on geophysical observations, including study of the transient fluidisation of granular fault rocks in Alaska and Namibia with Emily Brodsky.

[10] Rowe is a member of the Southern California Earthquake Center, and has studied the Marin Headlands and other rocks of the Franciscan Complex.
