Chubu-Nippon Broadcasting Co., Ltd. (中部日本放送株式会社, Chūbu Nippon Hōsō kabushiki gaisha, CBC) is a regional radio and television service serving Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, Japan.
The first-generation logo of Central Nippon Broadcasting Corporation was obtained through open call, and the selected design was the work of Shojiro Shimazaki.
In July 1952, CBC decided to apply for a TV broadcast license, but it was retained because the application was too late.
In order to make more viewers interested in TV, CBC set up 30 street TVs within the broadcast range.
In the same year, CBC also participated in the broadcast of the wedding of Crown Prince Akihito (now the emperor emeritus) and Michiko Shoda.
