Clara Weekes (30 September 1852 – 12 April 1937) was an Australian schoolteacher, suffragist, labour leader, pacifist, and civil and women's rights activist.
Born on 30 September 1852[1] in Bristol, England, Weekes immigrated to Australia with her parents when she was a child.
[2] Weekes served on several Victoria Department of Education committees, including being one of only six women to help organize the 1906 State Schools Exhibition.
[5] She was also a suffragist, and served on the executive committee for the Victorian Women's Suffrage Society.
[3] The Victorian Trades Hall Council runs a Clara Weekes Education Project, named in her honour.
