Clayton, Ohio

Clayton is a city in Montgomery County, Ohio, United States.

The city was named after John Clayton, a War of 1812 veteran.

[6] In 1998,[7] Clayton annexed the remainder of Montgomery County's Randolph Township.

It became a city in 1998 through merger with the rest of Randolph Township, Montgomery County, Ohio.

Of all households, 22.7% were made up of individuals, and 7.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.

Clayton is served by Montgomery County's Northmont City School District, which operates the following schools: Part of Ayn Rand's novel The Fountainhead[11] is set in Clayton.
