A member of the Moorish Science Temple of America, he was one of those convicted in the New York City landmark bomb plot.
During trial in 1995. he admitted that he trained volunteer soldiers planning a mission to defend Bosnian Muslims against Serbian aggression - "Project Bosnia".
In 1992 and 1993 he made several trips to Europe and Asia, raising over $150,000 to start the volunteer Muslim-militia project.
