Clifford Darnell Johnson (born 1954)[1] is an American lawyer who has served as the United States attorney for the Northern District of Indiana since October 2021.
[2] From 1980 to 1985, Johnson served as a trial attorney in the United States Department of Justice Civil Rights Division.
He then joined the Northern District of Indiana as an Assistant United States Attorney in 1986.
[1][3] On July 26, 2021, President Joe Biden nominated Johnson to be the United States attorney for the Northern District of Indiana.
[5] On September 30, 2021, his nomination was confirmed in the United States Senate by voice vote.
