Clinchport, Virginia

Clinchport is a town in Scott County, Virginia, United States.

[5] It is part of the Kingsport-Bristol-Bristol, TN-VA Metropolitan Statistical Area, which is a component of the Johnson City-Kingsport-Bristol, TN-VA Combined Statistical Area – commonly known as the "Tri-Cities" region.

[6] Clinchport owes its small population to a severe 100-year flood event in 1977.

There were 38 housing units at an average density of 56.1 per square mile (21.6/km²).

The racial makeup of the town was 98.70% White, Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.30%.
