[2]In the difficult period after the Second World War, the rector of the school managed to get the permission and funds to build the nowadays Cloudy Land.

On a slab on the outside of the cottage, there is a small list of data on which Cloudy Land was built, rebuild, burned down etc.

It says: Afgebrand 5 aug. 1931, herbouwd Door oorlogsgeweld 26 dec.1944 verwoest, Weer opgebouwd en 28 juni 1952 ingewijd Rough translation: Burned down 5 Aug. 1931, rebuild Ravaged by war 26 December 1944, Again rebuild and inaugurated 28 June 1952 The quote: 'Gain from loss (Uit Verlies Winst)' is the slogan of the first rector of Het Amsterdams Lyceum, C.P.
