Colonial Pine Hills is a census-designated place (CDP) and unincorporated community in Pennington County, South Dakota, United States.

[5] According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 17.2 square miles (45 km2), all land.

As of the census[4] of 2000, there were 2,561 people, 841 households, and 757 families residing in the CDP.

There were 867 housing units at an average density of 50.5 per square mile (19.5/km2).

6.8% of all households were made up of individuals, and 1.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
