Route 222 is a state highway in west central Connecticut, running in a meandering pattern from Thomaston to Harwinton.

Turning south on Main Street (unsigned State Road 807) leads to Route 254.

After another 0.3 miles (0.48 km), it turns east to cross the Naugatuck River again along Hill Road.

In Plymouth, it curves northward just east of the town line before reentering Thomaston.

In Harwinton, it continues north-northwest for another 4.3 miles (6.9 km) until it ends at an intersection with Route 118 west of the town center.
