Ronald Fields (January 11, 1968 – September 4, 2001),[1] better known by his stage name Cougnut, was an American rapper from the Lakeview neighborhood of San Francisco, California.
As frontman of rap group Ill Mannered Posse (I.M.P),[2] and later as solo artist, Fields was known for his dark raspy voice and street credibility.
Often requested for compilations and features, Fields was one of the most prominent rappers in the Bay Area in his prime (from 1993 until his death in 2001).
Notable artists Fields worked with JT The Bigga Figga, Master P, Andre Nickatina, Da'unda'dogg, Sean T, and RBL Posse.
