Creepy Nuts is a Japanese hip-hop duo consisting of DJ Matsunaga and R-Shitei, currently signed to Onenation and Sony Music Associated Records.
The duo rose to prominence in 2024 by the single "Bling-Bang-Bang-Born", an opening theme for the second season of the anime series Mashle: Magic and Muscles, as their most successful songs to date.
A tour with 20 performances at 20 music hall venues by the name "Creep Show 2018" was held from June 8 to November 16.
It also lands them their first Nippon Budokan concert held on November 11 - 12, 2020 (with reduced audience as measures against the COVID-19 pandemic).
The duo also occasionally held TWO-MAN TOUR on the same name with other hip-hop group at Zepp halls, notably BAD HOP, Hilchryme and Rhymester.
They returned briefly for one episode on February 19, 2024 due to Ado (whose currently hosting at the time)'s poor health.
[1][2][3] On June 16, 2024, via their first ever global livestream of their final show of their 2024 one-man tour at Yoyogi National Gymnasium No.1, they announced their first ever live at Tokyo Dome happening on February 11, 2025.
They've been also invited to perform at a large number of events and festivals, notably selling out their first live show at AnimeNYC, alongside a confirmed first appearance at the 75th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen.
On October 4, 2024, they released the digital single Otonoke (オトノケ), serving as the opening theme song for Dandadan.
It becomes Creepy Nuts' fifth track to cross the 100-million mark, following the success of "Nobishiro," "Bling-Bang-Bang-Born," "Katsute Tensai Datta Oretachi e," and "Nidone.
"[5] On January 9, 2025, Creepy Nuts’ hit song Bling-Bang-Bang-Born has reached a remarkable milestone, surpassing 600 million cumulative streams.
This marks the first time a Creepy Nuts track has achieved this level of success, with a total of 600,359,718 streams.
