Cryptocarya rhodosperma is a species of flowering plant in the family Lauraceae and is endemic to Queensland.
Cryptocarya rhodosperma is a tree that typically grows to a height of up to 25 m (82 ft), its stems usually buttressed.
The flowers are greenish, faintly and possibly unpleasantly perfumed, arranged in panicles about the same length or slightly longer than the leaves.
[2][3] Cryptocarya rhodosperma was first formally described in 1989 by Bernard Hyland in Australian Systematic Botany from specimens collected in 1983.
[2][3] This species of Cryptocarya is listed as "of least concern" under the Queensland Government Nature Conservation Act 1992.
