It is found in Ivory Coast, Ghana, Guinea, Liberia, and Sierra Leone.
[2] Its bark, especially at the base is marked with transverse and longitudinal lines and ridges, but above is generally smooth and greyish in color.
[2] The slash is pinkish red while its stems are slender with brown lenticels.
[2] Flowers are arranged in axillary racemes, the petal is one and whitish in color besides purple anthers both held by a pedicel that is about 1 cm long.
