Cutten, California

Cutten, a census-designated place (CDP) in Humboldt County, California, United States, is an unincorporated community, which is part of Greater Eureka.

The city was named for David Page Cutten and his family, who were prominent figures in the history of Humboldt County during the early 1850s.

[2] Cutten is located 2.5 miles (4 km) south-southeast of downtown Eureka,[3] at an elevation of 200 feet (61 m).

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 1.3 square miles (3.4 km2), all of it land.

The 2010 United States Census[8] reported that Cutten had a population of 3,108.

390 households (29.9%) were made up of individuals, and 153 (11.7%) had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.

24.5% of all households were made up of individuals, and 8.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.

In the state legislature, Cutten is in the 2nd Senate District, represented by Democrat Mike McGuire,[10] and the 2nd Assembly District, represented by Democrat Chris Rogers.
