Dag Johan Haugerud (born 30 December 1964) is a Norwegian librarian, novelist, screenwriter and film director.

[1] His novels include Noe med natur (1999), Den som er veldig sterk, må også være veldig snill (2002), Hva jeg betyr (2011) and Enkle atonale stykker for barn (2016).

[1][2] In 2014 he directed the medium-length film I'm the One You Want (Det er meg du vil ha  [no]).

[4] His 2020 film The Light from the Chocolate Factory (Lyset fra sjokoladefabrikken) treated relations between girlfriends.

[5] Love, the trilogy's second instalment, was selected to compete for the Golden Lion at the 81st Venice International Film Festival.
