Dai Xuejiang

Dai Xuejiang (Chinese: 戴学江; born February 1930) is a retired general in the People's Liberation Army of China who served as political commissar of the Commission for Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense from 1992 to 1995.

[1] In September 1946, he enlisted in the People's Liberation Army (PLA), and joined the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in May 1947.

[1] After the establishment of the Communist State, in 1952, he fought as a company and later battalion political commissar in the Korean War, as part of the 67th Division, 23rd Army under Zhong Guochu.

[1] Between 1978 and 1980, he was designated as the frontline commander of the 23rd Army against possible Soviet aggression in Heihe due to the Sino-Vietnamese War.

[1] In 1992, he was appointed Political Commissar of the Commission for Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, serving in the post until his early retirement in 1995, whereby he handed the position to his protégé Li Jinai.
