Dain Kane

While attending Kauai High, Kane was very active in athletics, competing in football and in swimming.

He was a member of the varsity swim team and qualified for the state championship in the 50m and 100m freestyle events.

He was a member of the varsity football team that won the KIF championship.

Kane attended the University of Hawaiʻi and graduated in 1985 with a bachelor's degree in secondary education and a minor in geography.

Kane was first elected into office in January 1999 and served on the Maui County council for four consecutive terms.
