Dan Romik (Hebrew: דן רומיק) is a mathematician and a professor of mathematics at the University of California, Davis.
Romik received his Ph.D. from Tel Aviv University in 2002 under the supervision of David Gilat.
He is an author of 3 books and over 40 papers, including publications in the Annals of Mathematics and in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
[8][9][10] In 2023, Romik published a paper simplifying Maryna Viazovska's solution to the sphere packing problem in dimension 8.
