The unincorporated community of Lutheran Hill is located partially in the town.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 35.1 square miles (90.9 km2), of which, 35.1 square miles (90.9 km2) is land and 0.03% is water.

The population density was 27.6 people per square mile (10.6/km2).

There were 339 housing units at an average density of 9.7 per square mile (3.7/km2).
