Daniel H. Rubinstein (born 1967) is a United States Foreign Service Officer and diplomat he had served as Chargé d'Affaires ad interim to Sudan.
From October 2015 to January 2019, Rubinstein served as United States Ambassador to Tunisia; he was succeeded by Donald A. Blome.
Earlier, he served as Director of the Office of Israel and Palestinian Affairs in the Department of State from 2004 to 2005.
[2] Rubinstein, one of the State Department's leading “Arabists,” replaced Ambassador Robert Ford as the US Special Envoy to Syria.
[6] Rubinstein was appointed as Charge d'Affaires ad interim at the US Embassy in Cairo on August 23, 2022.
