Daniel W. Marmon (October 10, 1844 – May 10, 1909) was an industrialist from Richmond, Indiana, United States.
[1] Born in Logan County, Ohio, Marmon was orphaned at age five and raised by his industrialist uncle, Eli Stubbs.
[1][2] As a boy, Marmon spent a great deal of time visiting the E. & A. H. Nordyke plant, a maker of milling equipment.
Daniel and Elizabeth had two sons, Walter and Howard, who founded the Marmon Motor Car Company.
[2][5] Daniel W. Marmon died from arteriosclerosis at his home in Indianapolis on May 10, 1909, and was buried at Crown Hill Cemetery.
