Danny O'Connor (footballer)

Danny O'Connor (born 28 September 1980, Dublin) is an Irish footballer who retired in June 2014 as Club Captain of Bray Wanderers.

His extra time goal at United Park was Drogheda's third of the match, which overturned the 2-0 defeat they had suffered in the first leg.

He also scored against Cork City in the second round of the FAI Cup in 2006, though Longford went out of the competition at the quarter-final stage to St Patrick's Athletic.

[2] O'Connor departed Longford Town at the end of the 2006 season to join newly promoted Shamrock Rovers.

[5] Danny left Rovers at the end of the 2008 season and spent some time out of the game before joining Irish League side Newry City F.C.
