Darryl Tippens

[1] He was provost of Pepperdine University from January 2001 until July 2014, and before that had served at ACU.

[2] Darryl Tippens began teaching English in 1973 at Oklahoma Christian University where he served as the Chair of Language and Literature until 1987.

W. Culp Distinguished Professor of English at Abilene Christian University from 1996 until 2000.

In 2001, he became the Provost at Pepperdine University, where he also served as professor of Early Modern literature.

[3] He has long been a leader in the Conference on Christianity and Literature, serving as the president of the learned society since 2016.
