Daud Haider

Daud Haider is a Bangladeshi[1] poet who was forced into exile after writing a poem that "insulted" religion including Islam.

[2] American Center, International PEN have described him as "distinguished poet".

[3][4] Haider was born on 21 February 1952 at Dohar of Pabna district.

[6] He was the literary editor of the Dainik Sambad based in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

[3] President Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was blamed for forcing him into exile.
