Dave Clarke (musician)

David Patrick Clarke (born January 28, 1948) is an American singer, guitarist and keyboard player.

Clarke met Carl Wilson and Bruce Johnston in London in 1977 and went to California on the Beach Boys payroll.

Jimmy McCulloch instigated another new LA band featuring Jim, Dave, Carl Wilson and Terry Kath.

Dave Clarke joined the Royal Navy in 1979 and after active service in the Falklands War and elsewhere, retired as Commander in 1992.

He then set up Mouse Records and formed Shut Up Frank with Mick Avory, Noel Redding, Jim Leverton, Richard Simmons and Dave Rowberry.
