David A. Strauss

He studied at Magdalen College, Oxford, on a Marshall Scholarship and received a B.Phil.

[3] After graduating from Harvard Law School, Strauss clerked for Judge Irving L. Goldberg on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.

[3][4] Strauss joined the University of Chicago Law School faculty in 1985.

He is currently a faculty director of the Jenner & Block Supreme Court and Appellate Clinic.

[3] In 2021, Strauss, together with fellow faculty members William Baude and Alison LaCroix, was appointed by U.S. President Joe Biden to the Presidential Commission on the Supreme Court of the United States.
