David Ayres Depue Ogden

David Ayres Depue Ogden (16 October 1897 – 26 November 1969) was a United States Army Lieutenant General.

[1] He graduated from the Kent School and attended Princeton University before transferring to the United States Military Academy.

After receiving his commission Ogden carried out an observation tour of Europe at the end of World War I, after which he completed the Engineer Officer Course at Camp Humphreys, Virginia.

[10][11][12] Following World War II General Ogden commanded Fort Ord, California.

[19] In 1953 General Ogden was named to head the Ryukyus Command and appointed as the islands' Deputy Governor.

At West Point in 1918
