David Dvorkin (born October 8, 1943)[1] is an American writer of speculative fiction.
Dvorkin was born in the United Kingdom.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts in mathematics and physics from Indiana University Bloomington as well as a Master of Science in mathematics from the University of Houston.
He worked at NASA (1967-1971) as an aerospace engineer on Apollo 8 through Apollo 15, and at Martin Marietta (1971-1974) on the Viking Mars program.
[2] Subsequently, he worked as a software developer and technical writer before retiring from full-time work in 2009.
