General Sir David Russell KCB (27 May 1809 – 16 January 1884) was a British Army officer.
[1] Russell was commissioned as a cornet in the 7th Light Dragoons on 10 January 1828.
[3] He became General Officer Commanding South-Eastern District in July 1868.
He had lived at Westfield House (now known as the Abbotts Barton Hotel) near Canterbury.
[6] Russell died on 16 January 1884 aged 74 at his home at Elvaston Place in Kensington, London.
