David W. Winn (July 20, 1923 – September 25, 2009) was a brigadier general in the United States Air Force.

Winn originally enlisted in the United States Army Air Forces in 1942.

During World War II he served with the Twelfth Air Force.

He was captured in North Vietnam on 9 August 1968 and remained a prisoner of war for 1678 days until his release on 14 March 1973.

He was assigned to the Headquarters of the North American Air Defense Command in 1974.
