David A. Weintraub is an American astrophysicist and is the Professor of Astronomy at Vanderbilt University.
[1] Weintraub was raised Jewish, and developed an early interest in religion and astronomy, especially the persecution of Galileo Galilei by the Roman Catholic Church.
